Guides · The Salon Owner's AI Kit
A guide for owners of hair
A guide for Australian salon, clinic and studio owners. Ten prompts that draft your captions, review replies, reminders, no-show and price-rise messages from a document about your own salon, so you read and send instead of writing at 10pm.

What's inside
Plus: a 20-minute setup that gives the AI your context once, the rules that keep client names with health or skin conditions and everything else sensitive out of it, a weekly 15-minute routine, and what to do when it goes wrong.
One of the prompts, so you can see the goods
Use my salon context document. You are writing Instagram captions for the salon. This is a draft for me to read and edit. Do not assume it will be sent as-is. Write 12 captions, 3 a week for a month, spread across the services and themes below. Mix straight service posts, a short tip, a behind-the-scenes line, 1 or 2 rebooking nudges and 1 team post. Rules for every caption: - Sounds like a real salon owner typed it on her phone, not an agency. - 1 to 3 sentences, never more than 50 words. - At most 3 hashtags, ones a local would search, on the last line. - No "treat yourself", "queen", "glow up", "obsessed", "so excited" or emoji strings. - No prices unless I gave them. No claims about results. No medical language about skin. - End about half with a plain call to action. - If unsure what a service is, ask me one question rather than guess. Services and themes this month: [one per line, e.g. "Balayage, our most booked colour service"] Happening this month: [closures, new staff, or "nothing"] Number them. After each caption, one line in brackets suggesting the photo.
You get 12 short captions in your voice, spread across your services, each with a photo suggestion you can shoot on the floor tomorrow.

Who wrote this
I built a seven-figure ecommerce business and sold it, and I run my current company on AI agents. I coach Australian small businesses on where AI actually fits. These guides are the setups I'd walk you through on a call, written down so you can do them yourself.
If you'd rather someone did it with you: the AI Audit and AI Concierge exist for that.
Fair questions
No. If you can type a text message you can do everything in this guide. There is nothing to install and nothing to code. The setup is pasting one block of text into a chat and answering 10 questions about your salon.
Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini. Every prompt works in all three. The free version of any of them is enough to start. If you later want the paid one, check the tool's current pricing page. We do not set or track their prices.
Chapter 2 is a short set of rules on what never goes into an AI tool: client names with health or skin conditions, card details, before-and-after photos without written consent, and staff pay. Every prompt is built to work without any of it, and there is a two-minute routine for de-identifying anything you paste in. Nothing in the guide sends anything. You read every draft and press send yourself.
A written guide. A 20-minute setup that gives the AI a document about your salon, the safety rules, 10 complete prompts with worked examples (captions, review replies, no-show and price-rise messages, reminders, a job ad, supplier emails, aftercare, closure notices), a 15-minute weekly routine and a chapter on what to do when it goes wrong. Updates for 12 months.

Asking cold gets you the average salon's caption, which sounds like an agency. This guide gives the tool a document about your salon first, then prompts written for each specific message with the rules built in: word limits, what never to say, when to ask you instead of guessing. The difference is the setup, and you do it once.
Yes. The setup asks what kind of business you are and every prompt reads that first. The worked examples use a fictional hair salon, and the aftercare workflow covers nails, lashes, brows, waxing and skin.
That is the specific thing the captions prompt is built against. Short, specific to your services, at most 3 hashtags, no "treat yourself". You can also paste in captions you wrote yourself and tell it to match them.
